Wheels and tires for a stock 1985

Does anyone know how I can upgrade to 14 or 15 inch wheels for my stock 1985? I have the 4x110 13" rims that came stock on it, but I want to go up a size or two.

Oh, Yea! I really don't want to put $1,000 into wheels. Are there reasonable alternatives??

Since Ykahama stopped making the 205X13 AVS Intermedeates I can't find a decent tire in the 13" size that has a V or Z rating and good treat=d pattern.

Any help would be appreciated!!

Bill

theres kinda not,
i have had a couple good offers for some nice 15" web style rims for around $300.00 - $500.00

but you still have to buy tires.

i will tell you honestly your best bet is to buy a gsl-se and steal the suspension

Panasports, ROH Snypers, Kosei K1 seem to be the most well known. They will usually run more than a grand new, however. You can find some old school mesh rims used if you look for a while. People in Austrailia like Simmons rims, but the distributors in the US are crooked and put a stupidly high markup on them

Or you could go with the 83 Limited wheels, which are 14" and fit the 4x110 pattern. Good luck finding a set though.

Will the 13" Diameter: 16 - Bolt Pattern Choices fit on a GSL?

They should, right? But what is the right width? I'd like to get a set of these for my car. I'm thinking the 7" wide ones are the right ones.

And is there an advantage to having bigger/smaller wheels?

wheels and tires for 1985 stock

Thanks for the input!

I haven't been able to find the 83 wheels yet! If anyone knows where I can get a set, please let me know.

The 15" for $300 sound interesting! Got any pics??
