Talking Wheels

Hey, I have a 79 and I want to put on a different style rim on her. I have a friend that has some 14" ers from an 85.

Can I use them on my 79, I believe they are 13's so I am a bit concerned about clearance.

Any recomendations?

If the 14" came off a GSL-SE, then they won't fit. But if they came off any other model rx-7, then they will fit.

Whoa, my bad.

The bolt patterns are different, 4x100 for the 14" and 4x110mm for the 13".

Sorry, long day.

Pillage,
The 14" user a 114.3 mm by 4 bolt pattern.

William,
The 1983 Limited Edition came with 14" wheels on a 110 mm by 4 bolt pattern. they are nice wheels and look like the old BBS wheels.

Eso,
If the whhels are 83 LE wheels they will fit, otherwise probally not.

Good luck

84 gs will have stock 13" 4x110 wheels.

if you can find rims in 4x110 you can fit some 17's in there easly. most go 16's.

you can find a nice set of mesh rims that are off an old school car that will be in 4x110 and RWD offset. most are 15" they look good.

So your saying ford focus wheels that are 4x108 will fit an fb with 4x110 with "persuasion". What do you classify as "persuasion"? Does that mean with a small 3lb sledgehammer? Or just push hard?

No don't do it! "Persuasion" means idiots putting wheels on a car that don't fit. the bolts won't be centered in the holes and wont grab the wheel evenly. Bad bad news.

This would be akin to wearing slip-on shoes in a 100 meter sprint. Might be OK while you're standing in the starting blocks but not much use after that.

Image of lots of sparks flying, trying to drive on a brake rotor, and being passed by your own tire/wheel that was once "persuaded" to fit on now broken wheel studs.

All of those rims are sick, especially 1st and last, but I highly doubt those are 4x110

If they are I'd go with the 1st for sure. Nice retro look with a decent lip

Edit: looks like they custom drill to order, so 4x110 is do-able. That's a good find! Order away
