wheels

Are there any adapters availible from our 4x110 to anything else? Found a pair of autobahn like wheels that I can get new with what ever offset/ width I need. I think the bolt pattern is 4X4.5 any ideas are appreciated.

there are a few readily available adapters out there, or you could have custom made ones

I've talked to a couple guys that have used them. They are safe enough for everyday driving - auto-x I'm not sure. With the 4x110 either go to 4x100 (Honda/Acura) or 4x114.3(FC RX-7) are the most common ones.

Excellent choice, many choose that option. The other thing I like about the adapters is that they also act as spacers, giving the car a more staggered look with wider tires . I applaud your choice, post pics when you have it accomplished. Good luck!

4x114.3mm is 4x4.5" , just FYI. So you'll be able to use both GSL-SE rims as well as any others with that american bolt pattern.

An alternative to adapters would be to use whats called a wobble lug bolt with a 4x108 wheel. The head and conical seat of the bolt actually wobble to adjust to a different bolt patter from what the bolt is being threaded into. Most i have found will allow up to about 2mm difference. Not sure how safe these would be in autox but there is a decent selection of 4x108 wheels available for the older 4 bolt Fox body Mustangs. 4x108 is the same as 4x4.25".

. um no its not, 4x108 is an oddball size used on the 4 bolt mustangs, some tauruses, and pretty much all volvos, i used to have a 242 turbo and finding 4x108 wheels is a bitch. however there are alot of wheels that are 4x4.5 (or 4x114.3) which is what the gsl-se uses. i dont like to use adapters if i can help it but they are not a bad alternative there really isnt a whole lot in 4x110, if you have the means though i would swap out everything for se parts get the 4x114.3 bolt pattern and the better rear with the lsd.

For the record 108mm is 4.2519 inches. Thats a meer 1.9 thousands of an inch off 4.25". That amount is less than the thickness of a piece of paper.

thats my bad i thought you said 4.5 not 4.25, read it to fast. but there still isnt much available in that size prob not much better then 4x110, and the offsets are really limited, i know you can get FWD (38mm-43mm) and RWD (20mm) they change on a few cars but not much. and then theres the 80's and 90's fords there were a bunch that used it but off sets seem to range from 30mm-50mm. other than that you got porsche 924, mazda 121 and a few other obscure cars that we dont see state side. at any rate if you can get the se axle i would do it, but you will still need the parts for up front, i dont know exactly what you need to do the swap.

Would these work then for 4.25 spacing on the stock wheel studs? Would the rim holes need to be 'massaged' a touch to give additional room? Doesn't seem that it'd need a whole lotta changing...

Really would like to find a set of 14" rims for this car tho - 13" quality tires just don't exist anymore apparently!!
