I had chromed wheels on my FD when I bought it. Every single little riceboy Hounduh tried to race me. Every single cop car stuck his head in my blind spot and ran my plates. Eventually I got fed up with it and left a riced-out del Slo well behind me without leaving fifth gear. The chrome wheels got sold promptly. That much flat area polished or chromed just shouts bling-bling to me. I'd go with a dark metal color and polished lip. My FD is quite happy with factory wheels though.

I may still do one like that just to see what it looks like. It's a lot of work, though, because you have to sand out the machining marks, before you polish, just like on the "plus" wheels.
I did this on the plus wheels that were on the car before the GSL-SE suspension went in. Looked really nice, but those wheels are smaller and don't have a huge disc as they're main feature...
Here's what the plus wheels looked like:

Who are you? You sound familiar...
Just kiddin, Tim.
Yeah, those Niche Runners were... well, ugly. And bright. Polished aluminum isn't quite so bling - it has a warmer, softer shine than chrome.
I'm liking the graphite, though.

Paint is easier, polishing is more durable.
It looks like you know what you're doing, though.
Do whatever makes you happy.

what size tires you got on em? My buddy had 195/50/15 and they looked pretty good. Looks like your sidewall's are a little thick. BTW, I say polish them. your painting looks awesome though!

They are a little tall - 195/60-15, IIRC. Planning on 205/50-15s, Falken Azenis or Yokoham AVS ES-100s

I think they look good painted, but the paint should be a bit darker.
