Wheel offset/backspacing with adapter question

Wheel offset/backspacing with adapter question
I posted this here as it will be more helpful as there are more first gen owners here instead of wheel section.
Ok, so I am planning on getting a 15x7 with +42 offset (the wheel I want is only available in this configuration I believe). Stock plus wheel is 13x5.5 with +27 offset. I have deduced that I will need a 1.5 inch spacer/adapter. SO, the question. Will this work with a 205/50/15 tire and not rub the fenderwell? I can roll the fenders, but I need to know if anything more will be needed such as cutting. I have RB lowering springs also. Any/all help appreciated.

why won't you just proper sized wheels for the 1st gen? spacers are never really safe to begin with unless they're only 5mm thick or are from eibach or H&R or some trusted quality brand.
even w/ spacers, a +42 wheel on a 1st gen will look ugly no matter what.
my welds are for sale and they're flush for the 1st gen and have dual bolt patterns for it. custom made. PM me and let me know if you'd be interested.

Assuming you have a S,GS,GSL with the 4x110, since you said stock was 13"....
My 15x7 rims have a +15 offset, and 205/50-15 tires fit perfectly. 42 - 15 = 27. (1" = 25.4mm)
The Kosei K1 15x7 was offered with a +17 offset for the 1st gen 4x110. 42 - 17 = 25.
These figures would seem to indicate that ~1" spacer would be right about perfect.
Use your own judgement as to whether this is something you truely want to run.
