wheel bearing question

the wheel bearing is biger on the GSL-SE, and the part it attaches to on the stur housing (i forgot what its called) is larger it self, but a rotor from a non-SE 81-85 will fit on there fine.

can you use the SE stut housing and put on an 81-85 rotor, just use the SE wheel bearing and washer? every thing else seems to fit. and it looks to have pleaty of room to fit the larger wheel bearing.

?? will it work?

the bearings changed sizes and so did the SPINDEL(the part the rotor and bearings sit/ride on ...that you couldnt name) in sr 3 meaning 1984-1985. i know you can swap like this ANY 84-85 will work with any 84-85 -se or not a -se and 81-83 will swap but i dont think you can mix sr2 (81-83) and sr3 bearings, spindels and hub/rotors...
on a side note you can(from what i have read) swap 4 lug 2nd gen hubs onto 84-85 spindels with the 2nd gen bearings..... then you have to mess around with the brakes... i plan on doing this and using t2 rotors redrilled to 4 lug and have custom brackets made for the calipers. kinda like a poor mans brake upgrade
