They can make pretty much any combo of bolt pattern and offset.

Your not thinking of re-speed are you? going the re-speed route will take a lot of FC parts

I can vouch for the Re-speed kit for upgrading to the FC equipment, doesnt take long to do everything but some spacers may be required (to reuse FC wheels).

Other than the re-speed kit im not aware of any adapters, unless you get some bigass spacers that have the specified patterns in it (though I dont think i've ever seen a 4lug to 5lug adapter)

I am not aware of any wheel adaptors that retain the stock FB brake system. Your best bet is to use the Re-Speed upgrade.

The FB front hub is part of the rotor, so finding an "adaptor" would be difficult since the spacer would throw the suspension WAY off. Unlike the FC's where you can just swap the hubs.

Good luck in your search, and post here if you find them. I'm sure others would like to know that info as well. The 5-lug swap is a very popular upgrade, but it entails swapping to FC parts. I have never heard of anyone doing it any other way.

Keep us posted!

There was a website that i recently went that specialized in stock, to upgrade, to performance parts for the SA, FB, FC and the FB...

On there website for the first gen they had these same exact wheel spacers to convert from a 4 lug 4x114 on the gsl-se to a 5 lug 5x114...The kit only showed the spacers, and allen bolts to do the conversion nothing else...

The one's that i have on the rear end i just bought this past weekend is a GSL-SE rear end with with a 4x114 bolt patter...then these spacers are on there that convert it to a 5x114...The only reason why i ask for the specific website is too see how much they run brand new from the website...

I have them up for sale in the west coast section and i want to make sure that i price them correctly, so that i don't over charge anybody...On the spacers themself they are clearly stamped rx71stgen on them...

I will post pictures later on today when i get off work...

Note the time of my post, i work a gravey yard shift..thanks guys for the help..

That just doesn't look like a good idea, and thats probably why you don't see everyone running out and buying a set. You only have 3 bolts holding down your wheel to the factory locations. And god only knows how far off your suspension is after that.

If it were that easy and safe, I'm sure all the companies you listed above whould be selling them. There might be a reason they aren't.

Good luck on your quest though-

It should still have 4 bolts holding the wheel to the hub, the top stud should be extra long and threaded into the 4th hole. They still aren't a great idea and will probably cause your car to eat wheel bearings. The re-speed kit is the best way to convert to 5 lug, and you get better brakes too If you can't afford it, save for it until you can and you won't be disappointed.

Actually i thought the same thing...But its four, when i took off the allen bolts and then took of the adapter one of the five lugs nuts is part of the bolt down...I will take pictures and show you...

So there are 3 allen bolts that bolt through the adapter to the stock bolt bolt pattern...Then there is lug nut that uses the remaining stock hole bolt pattern that bolts up to the rotor and comes through the adapter...So there is actually 4 bolts that hold the adapter...

How much you plan on selling them for?

There's nothing wrong with wheel adapters. They will NOT make your car eat bearings (it simply isn't throwing the suspension off enough), nor will they break. Companies have engineers that design these products who are more than qualified to understand the stress the products will face. Why would anyone in a western country produce and sell an inherently dangerous product given the liability they would face?

Many race and rally cars use products like these, and I've never heard of a wheel falling off or the like because a bolt on spacer or adapter was used. The wheel always breaks in an accident before the adapters do.

probably more to do with market factors (ie: not enough potential buyers, people just convert stud etc) than anything. Plenty of 4-lug wheels around.

I would just go with the Respeed stuff. Top notch quality, customer service, and performance. I have had it for years now, and have had zero problems.

I initially used some adapters like this, and I wouldn't suggest it unless all you care about it cosmetics, and even then it's not such a good idea.

All they have to say is "for off-road use only" and thier liability is cut by over 90%. There is a whole lot of junk being sold in the aftermarket community; and I mean a whole lot!

I have seen several wheel spacers fail........and seen many-o-bearings scream for mercy with similar setups.

I will quote myself again.....

True; however, they produce many other parts that hold very small market share anyway....And actually, I believe there is a rather noticable marketshare for this swap. Look at all of the 5-lug upgrades people do. 4x4.5 is a popular lug size with many more options over the stock pattern.

Fair enough. I know of race cars running bolt-on spacers and none of the owners have ever reported having any problems. These spacers / adapters whatever you call them are no wider than an inch and a half however. I have no idea what would happen if you put on some of the really huge thick units, but I can't imagine it'd be too good for wheel bearings - any of these that I have seen for sale usually specify that they're for 4wd's only, in any case.

I should have read the thread poster properly, as he's talking about 4 stud to 5 stud adapters. I have no idea how safe these would be, being a 2-part unit. My experience was only in the 1 piece spacers I have seen that were no wider than a bit over an inch - I have no doubt that it would be impossible for these to fail through anything but human error when running on a light car such as a first gen. 2 part units, fat 3inch spacers, etc I have no idea. Just wanted to clarify my argument.

Peace.

Looking at the quality of these adapters there very well made from a good source of aluminum there is nothing wrong with them, and there not any better or worse then going with respeed products...only problem is they don't sell the adapters...im still looking for the company or website that sells these...it was not CP...

There is an Australian company that does them but they're such a rip I wouldn't bother. They quoted me $110 per spacer, 4 stud to 4 stud. Hate to think what 4 to 5 stud would be worth, probably cheaper to change your whole setup over.
