whats tis black connector for?



it runs off the same loom as the fuse box... my car doesn't have a radio is that what its for??

Looks like the connector to the electronic choke ****.

There is also an 8-pin connector with all 8 wires which goes to the heater/AC control module.
Does the fan for the heater work?

You might want to download the wiring diagram pdf for your year.

Follow the link in the 2nd post from the top in the forum to download your FSM's (Factory Service Manuals).

yea fan for the heater works, but a/c was taken out before I brought the car maybe that's why its not connected to anything.

there all LHD manuals, is the wiring the same as RHD just the other way around?

yea mach green was the original colour, but im in the middile of respraying it.

I downloaded the 1980 Wiring Diagram.
Scanned through the illustrations for 8-pin connectors.

The image has the three I found and the wiring code for identification.

Might help.

was no help. I got different coloured wires to my connector,
green and black x 2
green and yellow
green and red
green and white
blue and black
black
green

maybe the wire colours change from country to country.
