whats an Rx-12?

some guy was talking to me about my car and told me he had an Rx-12 over in the phillipines when he was in the air force. never heard of one and was just wandering if any of yall have. pics would aslo be nice thanks.

He's probably talking about the "RE12" badge that appeared on some JDM early rotaries, it just signified the 12a engine.

Responses Gone Astray!

Early RXs both for the Japanese and some export market had RE10, RE12, or RE13 badges depending on the engine option. The lettering was large on the grille, and small above a rotor shape on the rear.

Half the responses shown earlier on this thread seem to have got lost. What I posted earlier has gone, but far more important what has gone missing is a great photo of a 12 rotor engine.

WHAT IS GOING ON?
