Whats missing?

Can anyone tell me what is missing from this shifter plate to make it fit right? If there is another piece that is supposed to be there can someone tell me where I could find one?

It's for the wrong year. You need one for a 1984/1985 dash.

^^^ he is correct you have the plate for a S2 and you need one for a S3 it will look similar but larger and will have a overdrive on/off switch in the corner closest to the driver.
why do you want to keep the auto anyway?

The prvious owner had put an auto in the car with a 302 swap, I haven't decided on either putting my 13BT in the car or putting another 302 in it, but If I do put a 302 in I want it auto.
