Question What's the difference between silver and silver?

Specifically, Sunbeam Silver metallic and Tornado Silver Metallic?

They were both available as factory colors on the 1st gen. Does anyone have pics?

Your pics do not show up because they are on your hard drive. When you post, you have them listed as C:\blah blah blah...

When my computer sees that, it looks on it's own hard drive for that pic. Use attachemnts or an online hosting site.

I saw your friend's 80, it looks much darker than my '85 with Sunbeam Silver Metallic, but mine is faded and was repainted by Maaco three years ago anyhow. (Maaco sucks.)

I believe mine is "Midnight Silver" or something of the like.

I've seen other silver FBs, but none that look quite like mine.

I notice that it looks much more reflective in the morning and the evening. Different from some colors, red for instance, that I find look nicest in the sunlight.

Here's a pic of my car:

Look at the nameplate on the fire wall, towards the middle, in the engine bay. It lists your paint code.

Mine is K3...

Anyone have the cross ref for code to name?

Just had a look - mine's K3 as well.

So you're saying this code is 'Sunbeam Silver metallic'?

****, guess I was wrong... I honestly don't remember exactly why I thought it was 'midnight silver'... oh well ya learn something everyday.
