What's the deal with most FB owners being so against body kits?

I've wanted a widebody first gen ever since i saw them the at the Gran Prix of Miami as a kid. Some day I'll finish her. I was ready to order my rims but my engine let go. So now I'm rebuilding adding a bigger turbo and installing the microtech LT8. Should have the wheels by December that should make the car look nicer (see sig).

I do think the car is beatyfull either way, but I just like the wide look. The tough thing is finding a rear spoiler. I want a RE-Amemiya whale tail so I'll wait till I could afford that.

Whale tail

78-79 maybe ??? still with SU carbs ?? Bodykits, there aren't that many choices. I picked the mariah mode four because it makes the car not look like a 7. I've still got the oem rx7 badges on the sides, mazda on the back, and a small mazda square plaque on the front. people like the stock look, people like a body mod. but everybody agree's about the wheels. stock, gott'a go.
IMO

The MG is actually a 71, when they were still Chrome bumper cars. The Carburetors are HS6's off of either an Austin Healey 3000, or a Jaguar XKE.

I think body kits and any modification, are for the individual. Its your car do what you thinks looks good, or runs well and enjoy your car. Make it the car you want it to be not what popular oppinion wants it to be
