whats this??

It sits behind the rats nest in a bracket has 1 vacuum hose going to it off a tee fitting that splits to manifold vacuum and to the rear fo the aircleaner. has a green plug in with black and red wires . This engine has been replaced and they had a jumper wire on the connection before this thing wahtever it is. So what is it and whats it do? Its for an 84gs stock.

Looks like I have to describe it more. 1.75" wide, round and about 2" high. Has a vacuum connection on the bottom, has an electrical conector on top with blk and red wires. Clips into a backet that is mounted w/ 2 bolts behind the vacuum hose rats nest. Have it unhooked now but just curious on what it was for.

Hey man I know what youre talking about, and I dont know what it does myself. I accidently disconnected the vacuum line that went to it when I was looking for the idle speed screw, and then it took me forever to figure out that it acutally has a vacuum fitting on it...If I remember, I'll take a pic of it for you at some time this weekend unless someone can figure out what we are talking aobut without the pic .
