What years will work?

Im currently building a 85 12a bridge port, and i need a rotor housing. My question is will any 12a rotor housings work?. Or do i need a 84-85 housing?. Im not running any emissions equipment. Whats the big diff. in these years housings?. I think 79-80 were the same and 81-83 were the same and 84-85 were different. PLEASE HELP.

I also believe all 12a housings are the same. The earlier ones have larger exhaust ports. And some have those damn EGR passages that need to be pluged.

So basically any 81-85 rotor housing will look identical?. Mazdatrix catalog has different part numbers for the different years. Any one second these opinons?. I know i dont want the 79-80 housings because of the little emissions ports. right?.

I got 2 good rotor housings for a 12A, they were suppose to be 85 model housings... They looked the same as the ones I pull apart in the other 85 motor, but they were toast. Havent totally made up my mind if I want to part this engine yet... Good possibility in the next 2 weeks or so, depending how much my new swap is gonna go out of budget
