what is the valve on the side of the heater core called?

ok, last question and it's pretty self explanatory what is the valve on the side of the heater core called? I was wrong, it isnt my core, it is this valve, and I need to know what to order?

i think it may be called heater control valve? Anyone know what years are interchangeable with an '82? Seems an '82's is a dealer only part in my area.

79-85 are interchangable according to Victoria British.

cool, thanks for the help, now does anyone know wher to get one from? please? I went and removed all that crap to replace the heater core, just to find it is this part and I didnt have to do all of that. kragen/autozone dont have or cant order one, and I am being told it may be a dealer only thing.... anyone know where I can get a new one from (preferably not used, would suck to have to replace it just a bit later... again.
