What tire/wheel setup do you run in F Prepared AutoX?
I ran the Konig Rewinds 15x7 with 205-50-15 Falken Azenis last season and am thinking about going with a new wheel tire setup to be more competitive in F Prepared. I run an '85 FB GSL with the standard 4x110 bolt pattern. Thanks!

I am running 13x7 pannasports with 23"? x9"x 13" hoosiers slicks the tires are cantalivered, meaning that the are designed to overhang the wheel do to wheel width limitations. you can get the from midatlantic motorsports aka "Hoosier Tom" he will sell you the wheel/tire comb. I have to run wheelspacers in the front to clear the coilovers.

Thanks for the info.
Is anyone out there using Diamond Racing Wheels? Also, I am trying to decide between Hoosier and Kumho V710's. Has anyone tried both of them in AutoX? From all the research I have done so far, it seems the Hoosiers are quicker to wear out and are slightly more expensive. The biggest issue I seem to be having is finding good rubber that will fit the "+" stock GSL wheels. I have two sets of those and would probably use them if I could get some tires that have a decent contact patch on them. Hoosier's A6 AutoX tire is only available at the Tire Rack in a 225-45-13 or a 225-50-13 which they say only fits rims 7" to 9" in width. The R6 tire has more size options but is really more of a track tire and takes too much time to heat up for short AutoX courses. I ran 205-60-13 Yokohama A008R's on the "+" wheels years ago with no issues so I assume another tire in that size range will do okay.
Keep the ideas and experience coming at me folks. Thanks!

if your are going to run in fp you would really be better off with the real racing slick you will be amazed at how much more grip they offer then the dot r rated tire.
Also My slicks lasted about 1 1/2 seasons then they started to give up grip. I finally corded them at the last event last fall.

A lot of guys run the Diamond wheels. Nice wheels from what I understand..
Some choose to run 13/8 with 40 mm backspacing along with the 225/45/13 racing tires. The 13 inch wheel with the low profile tires give you lower gearing and reduce the ride height.

Gadzooks! 350.00 each?!? Full set from Diamond is only 230.00 They may be heavier but for autocross how much difference could it really make? And you'd have 1100.00 left over for suspension mods to boot.
Nice looking wheels though...

Thanks mazda6guy. You don't think that there will be clearance problems running the 225's? I'm kinda leaning toward what Kentetsu points out. The 13's do reduce ride height and gearing which is an easy way to pick up some time I am thinking. I'm still a bit confused on Diamond Wheels backspace measurements. They seem to measure in terms of inches such as 4" whereas we tend to talk about "offset" and use millimeter measurements such as +20mm (what my Rewinds have). Is a 4" backspace what most folks are running on the Diamonds?

Wow, now that would be a good deal! Maybe they are priced per set, and I misread it? I'll have to take another look at it. Do you have any better pics of the model you have?

Hmm, just found this while I was sidetracked. Problems with cracking, creaking, and leaking on the Keizers?

I still might try a set though. On the link above, they seem to recommend Real Racing Wheels over the Keizer, but they don't seem to come in anything that will fit our cars...
