I believe so.
I have a freind with an SA, that has been modified to use a later exhaust manifold, rather than the original thermal reactor. They simply cut a 1/4" steel plate, matching the exhaust gasket, and used a gasket on each side of it, then the manifold.

Yeah, the stock 81-85 manifolds do not cover those ports, as they were not used after 1980. I think the RB header will cover tham fine, as they only offer one style of flange for all 12A's. The RB header flange is larger than the stock manifold, so it should cover them, leak free.
As a cheaper quick fix, just have someone make a plate that matches the exhaust gasket, with the 4 bolts holes, and the exhaust ports (but not those 2 small ones), then use a gasket on each side of the plate, followed by the manifold. Without the extra plate, you will have to replace the exhaust gasket every so often, if you continue to use the factory manifold.
I am not sure about price and availability, but bwaits (RESpeed) posted a while back about offering header flanges. One of those would also work as a blockoff plate, although you may need longer exhaust mounting studs. I think the older 12A's that had the TR system had longer studs, as the TR was thicker where it meets the engine.

Looks like it, to me. The earlier TR's are HUGE and heavy. I have heard they are close to 75LBS, but I cannot confirm.

Well poop. I am embarassed to admit to getting called on 2 errors in one post. Thanks for keeping things straight guys. I do know a header will solve the problem, I put one on kgrays's SA.
