What steering column do I have?

Wow, that was confusing. I thought I could follow the manual, but this thing wasn't shown in any of the manuals. I have an 85 GSL-SE with power steering, and steering box was replaced at some point, but it's rubbish, so I'm pulling stuff apart.

Well, all the manuals I looked at said the steering shaft comes out through the engine bay along with the steering box, after I unbolt everything, but it didn't for me. Mine is comprised of two sections connected by a round bushing, which was tucked away inside the little bell sleeve at the interior side of the firewall. Bushing had clamps on each side to hold the shafts in it. So I actually unclamped it and pulled the upper part through the interior and the steering box with the short shaft through the engine bay.

What is this? What year was this put in, because even the 85 manual doesn't mention it. And does the column slide apart to get the actual shaft out? I can't find any info on this.

Ok, I finally found the components in question. They were at the end of the P/S section. The pictures in the shaft removal section are horrible so I couldn't tell what they were talking about. Apparently it's referred to as the coupling bolt and vaguely touched upon. I wish these manuals would provide a bit more info where it would help.
