What should I do "while I'm in there"?

I picked up a 85 GSL-SE last year that had been neglected for years. Finally got around to opening it up, and saw rust everywhere in the cooling system. I'd like to "do it right", which involves a full teardown and rebuild. The engine has 167k on it, and the PO (previous owner - 1 owner car) said it had never had any major engine work. So it's probably due for new seals and such.

I'm in the process of pulling the motor now, and would like to know, what else should I do while I'm in there?

Things I'm thinking:
- The heater core leaked at some point, so PO capped off the coolant lines. Should I try to fix this, or leave it alone?
- Radiator and water pump need to be replaced. The piping has corroded to the point that they're both unusable.
- Haven't seen the flywheel yet, but the image I got from the starter motor hole didn't look good.
- Alternator mod seems popular. I don't mind leaving this to later, since the alternator is easy to get to.
- I'll replace the clutch, since that's a PITA to get to.
- I'll replace all rubber hoses, although most of them feel reasonably supple. Not hard or cracked, but it's easy to do when they're accessible.
- Not sure about the state of the AC; PO said the AC belt died and he never bothered to replace it.

So, anything else I should consider doing while I'm in there? Any other wear items that are easy to do while the motor is out and everything is exposed? I'll know more once I get the motor out; maybe replace some hard lines? Oil cooler (there's a LOT of oil caked up around there)?

As for goals, I'm looking to stay stock-ish. Upgraded parts (aluminum radiator, stiffer engine mounts, etc) but nothing crazy, no turbo or EM.
