what rear end to get?

My rear had been making noise for a while, and yesterday at track it gave out. It was my first time at the strip so i think i had a lot to do with the rear going out. My friend has a differential assembly from a gsl se,
and my question is will the differrential from gsl se fit my 84 gs, or do i need to stick with the gs one.
Thanks for the help Miguel.

ok i'll rephrase this, swap your SE rear end into the GS and you'll be set. i'v herd this swap is very easy and is bolt up and go.
