Angry What PARTS do I need to Replace my Oil Cooler and Lines???

So i took my car to the shop cuz it was leaking mad oil. They claim there is a crack in the oil cooler, but since i live in a town with a bunch of high school dropouts, im guessing it could be a leak in the washer between the oil coolant lines and the oil cooler itself.

Anyways, im tying to find an FC oil cooler to replace my FB (85gsl-se).

If i replace it with an FC, i require two new oil cooler mounts, correct?

Also, I plan on replacing the lines regardless...so which kind do i get? I saw on maxdatrix that they have oil lines as a KIT with -AN style ends. Will those fit into an FC oil cooler, or do I have to buy the adapters too? I saw that they also have regular (non-steel braided) hoses on the site that im guessing are stock, but for some reason are more expensive. Should I get those if -AN lines won't fit?

I saw the thread by Trochoid, he just refurbished his old oil coolant lines via a hydraluic shop, but i dont want to screw that up.

Could someone please tell me what parts i need to replace either an FB or anf FC oil cooler and assoc lines completely? Also, about what price should the lines come to minus the oil cooler?

IM so frustrated with this BS. Mechanics don't know damn these days.
Thanks you guys rock.

Replacing the stock cooler with an FC one requires custom made lines and mounts. The stock and aftermarket ones will not work due to the mounting differences, both on the fmoc itself and the fmoc mounting position.

Setting up the lines isn't hard. Careful planing on routing and measurements are all it takes. You can use worn clamps on the hoses, once they are set where you want them, to keep the hose and fittings clocked, then take them the hydraulic shop for crimping.

Another option you may look into is having the bungs replaced on the cooler if they are cracked. A friend of mine had a quote of 55 to have his replaced, he opted to have the crack tigged for 15 instead.

The second gen lines are the same on the engine end. I used stock lines, with new hose, when I put the FC cooler on my '83 12A. It is important to have the lines that match the cooler. The FC uses a different type of fitting than the SA/FB coolers did.
