Don't get that. I have the black version of it. Had it for about 5 months before it rusted a hole through it.

Go Borla.

Right now my current setup consists of the following:

Racing Beat road race headers
2x Apexi pre-silencers
Racing Beat street port primaflow muffler

This is a true dual setup from headers to muffler. Sounds good, looks stock, but a bit too quiet for my taste. Going to drop the RB muffler with something louder and replace the pre-silencers with dynomax bullet ones. Possibly go headers to Y to straight 2.5" or 3" with 2x bullet pre-silencers one after another.

I have the full RB street port on my street car. Sounds great!

On my Autocross car I have a Borla stainless 3" muff hooked to an RB road race header and then turndowns.....Lound as **** and obnoxious!

Open header ftw!!! I had header to 3 inch straight pipe to fart can for awhile. I liked it, but too loud. I'm running header to RB mini silencer to OEM connecting pipe to RB power pulse muffler. Sounds smooth, deep, and a hair louder than stock. I'm running gutted cats 2 1/2 inch Y pipe to Mazdaspeed mufflers on my FC. That's where it's at

Is your only goal to be loud? WHY?!? To be known as the ******* who annoys everyone in town? Give you and your car a bad name? dumb redneck

If you must be obnoxious, get yourself the new RotaryShack SS header or a RB SP header and just do a downward facing dump. It will make your car obnoxiously loud, and will fumigate you in the process.

The stock muffler is loud enough, just eliminate the cat.

I'm planning on getting an exhaust fabbed with RB SP header, RB presilencer, then 3" back to a borla. Gonna have a section of pipe emptying out behind the front wheel with an electronically controlled valve to bypass the rest of the system of fun at street lights.

If you are stuck on a Borla, at least get one that only has a straight pipe through it with no bends, because they use crush-bent pipe. At least, they did for mine.

For the heck of it I put a 3A Racing straight through muffler on my racecar - the 4" outlet looks scary to my competitors. I picked it up at Autozone for $60 and it is polished stainless with a 2.5" inlet, 2.5" core that opens to a 4" outlet. My exhaust consists of a Stainless ISC header that connects to a long primaries that collect at the rear axle into a single 2.5" pipe.

It has a deep tone at idle and is fairly quiet. Rev'd up it get allot louder and at 8K RPMs it positively screems. Probably not what I would run on the street - I thought it was loud with a full face helmet on.

I'm running RB road race header collected and straight piped back to an RB power pulse muffler. Sounds beautiful when the secondaries open up but very mild around town. If RotaryShack produces a Rotaflo like muffler I will definitely pick one up.

Just to let you know, you will have to tune your car for the least restrictive exhaust setup your car will run.

If you run your car with the carb tuned for a full exhaust... and then have a dumpy at the end of the header you will run lean near top end.

Return it. It wouldn't be a real Borla. All the Borla's I have had (7) have all been mandrel bent.

Leave it to the douche from Michigan to make a worthless post. It never fails.

My car has an 18-20 inch resonator in front of th axel thats going to stay on, and im thinking of putting a Y pipe after the axel with 2 stainless resonators and stock looking tips.

Thanks for the usefull info, and the humorous usless info. I'm still interested in what everyone else is running.

remember Cody, the louder the car is, the worse it is to drive on the highway for long distances. racing beat (www.racingbeat.com) makes the best quality exhaust parts around for the 7. and you can have your loud without having your ear drums melt.
