I'm re-arranging it all in my new gsl-se, with all new speakers and subs.

In fact, the only thing i'm keeping is the reciever and the amps.

my NEW setup is going to be this:

*Infinity Kappa 4" two ways up front.
*Infinity Kappa 6.5" three ways rear.
*Bass blockers up front
*My 2 Generic Pioneer amps powering the speaks.
*Rockford fosgate Power BD800.2 amp. Rated at 1105 Watts RMS.
*Two brand spankin new 12" subs, i'm thinking Rockford Fosgate Power series, something that can actually RUN a 2 ohm load when bridged.
*Clarion DXZ615 Reciever
*Stinger Pro cap

I assume you are posting this for systems in FIRST GENS ONLY, in which case this thread wouldnt need to be moved by the mods! (cause i'm too lazy to look in other sections)

Heres my two 10 inch Rockford dvc's all buckled up and ready for some corners. You can also see the pioneer DEH-P7300(the one with the race car video on it) deck sandwhiched between the factory components.

AJC, is that just a universal dual gauge pod that you put in the center console? Thats sweet. I was trying to figure out where I can put some custom gauges in my car, and what to do with the ashtray (I dont smoke), and equalizer after i get the aftermarket stereo in that doesnt need the equalizer or balance/fader thing . That Haltech A/F monitor sure looks sweet in there though . Nice job on the door panels too. Was that somehting you had made, or were they available over the counter? Info please .

TJ - All my bits are custom made. But both the gauge pod and door pods may be up for sale soon

Mike -

CDM7861R CD Head Unit
MRVF407 4 Channel V12 amp mounted in a false floor in spare wheel well
SWS1040D 10 inch sub in custom box.
SCS1756 6.5 inch splits in custom door pods
SPE1620 6.5 inch 2 way speakers in factory location in hatch

I listened to the DDD stuff when I was looking for components and I wasn't happy with them at all! The sound quality was dead! So I picked up the above stuff for a great price + install!

My plans for my interior are coming together quite nicely. I picked up a factory grey interior yesterday and that will be going in soon. For the time being I will get my door pods trimmed in grey cloth with the pods in grey vinyl. I will be using 2nd gen n/a seats and get them trimmed to suit as well. The 2 gauges I currently have in the centre console will be moved up to the air vent in the centre of the dash so they will be easily seen and an additional gauge will be added (45mm Omori EGT gauge) to fill out the vent. The back seat won't be put back in and that area just carpeted over

The stereo will also come in for some work. I would like to get rid of the sub box and put a pair of 8 inch subs under the back hatch area near the tail lights. I also want to rethink the door pods so I can get a bit more leg room. Since I have had the interior out for racing, the side to side leg room has been great

Cool Steve... I really liked the DDD 's , only thing I have heard that sounded better were MB quarts, which I should have gotten. But the premimum line was 700 for 6 1/2 and tweets..

I have a big gaping hole where the stock system used to be. I'm thinking of installing a toaster oven.

To tell you the truth though, I don't miss radio one bit. Same damn sixty songs over and over again. Repetition, repetition, repetition.

Maybe one day I'll get a decent CD deck if the vendors stop jerking me around.

sheez those are some pretty nice setups.

Here is mine, got the old Alpine deck with the car, some l'cheapo 4 way 6x9s $60 aus and 2 10" Tornado subs @ $29 aus each, 16yrold Kenwood amp $70aus. Sounds alright untill i crank it up and the rear of the car starts rattling, i can't figure out what exactly it is, first thought was the stone guard for the fuel tank but its not.

Here are some pics
