Well... if they're some little Honda or Neon Ricer challenge them to a race. Okay, no don't do that or you may find yourself being arrested for drag racing. It's not fun.

If anyone makes any comments I begin to explain to them why the car is so different and badass and why the car pwnz anything they have.

I get, "How ya like your wankel?"

To which I reply, "Quite fine, thank you."

Now to bystanders not "in the know" this can be a confusing exchange of words.

me and a friend had our cars parked in front of my house and some kid i didn't know walked up to me and my car (85 gsl-se) and said "wow, i like your car" i let him sit it and answered his questions. he then walked off not even mentioning my friends car which was a 1999 camaro. my friend was a little annoyed. i haven't got any negative comments.

i only drive the 7 to meets and the pistol range (which is saying alot seeing as how those are the only 2 places i ever go besides work)

everybody at the meets has a 7, so yeah. the guys at the gun range are either of the cool-as-**** nam vet variety, (whos remarks usually involve positive comments or genuine questions regarding apex seal durability) or the 18 year old kids who want to impress their buddies with an AR or AK, who usually dont even make eye contact with the regulars.

the gun shop is right next to a performance shop for domestics, but seeing as how i park the faded silver fb between the car place's rustbucket camaro (ultimate ******* sleeper, i tell ya) and the gun place owner's lincoln blackwood, nobody really bothers with it, hehe

Hey, Doc... This mindless twit is probably a member of the lacrosse team at Clemson. Of course, Duke always beats them though because they can't keep their fingers out of their noses (their own... not each other's noses, thank God). You know, I always knew those lacrosse boys didn't rape that girl at that frat party, because of lacrosse boys being the lurking around gay types and all. It's certain he's a Carolina boy, though... with all that "mashing" of buttons as evidence.

I had a kid tell me the other day that I need to drop a 350 in it because a 4 cylinder doesn't go that fast! LOL (High school kid taking Auto 4) I had to draw him a diagram of the motor because he had never heard of a wankel. LOL I told the shop teacher that I would bring one of my extra blocks that needs a rebuild and let the kids look at it. I hope he lets me bring the next generation to our dark side...LOL

People used to give me crap about it...those are the ones with the 4" exhaust tips. I quieted them down with a few blasts from the rotary trumpet. Then I ask if they can hit 9000rpm and laugh(not that I should...). "no". Is it RWD? "No."

Is your car fast? "...no..."

Neither is yours if it's an FB.

Hah just kidding. The FB's have a lot off the line against front wheel ricer boys. Especially if it's a 13b.

Hey now! LOL Just kidding. Mine is an FB 12A and it is plenty fast enough for me. (8 speeding tickets in 2 years!) Besides, my five year old likes to help me turn the wrenches and I feel like my car will make a cool ride for him later. He doesn't need more speed than that! (I wanna be able to relax when he's out in her)

Wow, I've never seen a first post rip on a veteran like this. I agree with the Doc on this. If you want to chat about this, take it to the Lounge. I never go there because I don't care to be cluttered with the inane banter that goes on there.

I only have a couple hundred posts, and I am annoyed by people who rehash the same thing over and over or can't seem to figure out how to search.

Geesh dude...

Well daemonjosh, I am going to be honest. When I first joined this board, I thought a few people were ********. After joining, not only rx7doctor, but others have contributed their wealth of knowledge, and taken their personal time to help not only me, but others. So, maybe your the *******. Sorry to get off topic.

Jr., newb, lurker, pseudonym or whatever you care to call yourself or hide behind, if you are an example of a 'new' member, we don't need you or your attitude. Which is by far much worse than some of us old farts who can and do get cranky/grouchy answering the same halfassed questions over and over. Most of which are done with repeated patience and restraint.

If you have been lurking as you say, then apparently you neglected to learn anything, in particular, reading the FAQs and forum rules in regards to personal attacks and name calling. If you have issues with a member/s, state it in a civil manner or make it through a PM. Whatever problem you do have, you lost all credibility with your post.

As the Mods would say, 'Strike One'. Want to go for # 2 and 3?

I "lurked" around the forum for about 3 years before I finally bothered to register, and I for a fact can be an *** at times.... but you my friend take the cake, while your at it..take some therapy, maybe anger management, get a life or if thats to hard, maybe a girlfriend, or if all else fails get a dog. Hell a dog probably would not want to stay around you though with that responce.....

a well written, nice responce:

"Been lurking or stalking for years? Still have not figured out how to use the Pm function. If you had a problem with me be a man and state your true forum name and discuss it thru the pm process.

While your at it. Go ahead and read what it says under the 1st gen specific section as far as what Is covered in this section. Then go read the same thing under lounge. "

a typical Dave responce:

Hey, Doc... This mindless twit is probably a member of the lacrosse team at Clemson. (deleted for brevity) It's certain he's a Carolina boy, though... with all that "mashing" of buttons as evidence. Cheers Dave

A pissed off scott responce (mind you the first time I have seen him really pissed off in 3+ years of lurking, and 3 years of membership)

Jr., newb, lurker, pseudonym or whatever you care to call yourself or hide behind, if you are an example of a 'new' member, we don't need you or your attitude. (deleted for brevity) , you lost all credibility with your post.

well written and totally deserved.

and my final words, no smilies, no cursing, just some thoughts.....Grow up, Doc was stating a fact, he was not overly mean, was not overly rude. if this bothers you, go hang out in the 2nd gen section for a while, and find out what Rude is about, go tackle jimLab, or REted or one of the really rude ones over there.... When you come back to us, if you do, you will not be nearly so EMO as you currently appear to be.

send all hate mail to kenn_chan@hotmail.(0m so I can get some more EMO laughs going

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH..lol..cmon guys who cares he made a mistake.im a newby too and wen i read wat the doc said i thought it was pretty rude too.but shortly realised that it would get pretty annoying reading the same **** over and over again if i was a veteran on this site.but he was just posting a thread and im pretty sure he wouldnt have been looking for trouble wen making it.it was good for me though cos if he never wrote it i would have never found the old one cos they are buried in over 1000 pages of info stories and pics in this 1st gen categorie

most people think my Rx is a piece since i normally drive the Supra, but to be honest the Rx has always had me as the most exciting car (atleast that i can afford).

dont kid yourselves unless you put tens of thousands of dollars into these cars they are not fast, its the enjoyment factor that makes them great, the great handling and ease of tossing them around. i suppose they are similar to miata's. did anyone catch the miata cup races on speed? goddamn!! wish we had something like that for Rx7's...
