ttt also wanted to know how much it was costing some of you to do powder coating.

I like the rusty iron and tarnished aluminum. And ya dont have to clean it to keep it looking like that.

SO how much does it cost to powder coat? Might do it on the next motor i am building

Done professionally? About $300 for the front cover and rotor housings. If you do the plates as well, expect to be around $600 total. I'm sure you could find a back-yard powdercoater that could save you a lot of money, but if any mistakes are made it could just end up looking bad and/or cost you more in the end.

Mine is a fabulous blend of Road Debris Brown, Engine Oil Black, with a dash of Coolant Green/Orange. Resulting is this hideous mess
