Racing Beat exhausts are the BEST

no one compares

ask anyone on this forum they will agree.

as for intake, you can get a KN filter.

I adapted a elebrock pro-flow filter and It worked great

What do you have done so far? I wrote a long write up on just about everything feasibly possible from the Racing Beat exhaust to NOS, to superchargers and turbo chargers. I was going to ask that it be put in the archives so when people ask vague questions, there will be a reference for them to find all the info in 1 place. It took 4 hours of typing and finding links to web pages, and when I was almost done, my POS computer froze up and I had to reboot.

There are many things that you can do to get your car to perform better, and lots of places to get parts from.

Racing Beat exhaust seems to be the majority favorite on this site. You can find more of their stuff at their site. www.racingbeat.com

You can also get parts from
- www.rx7.com
(there are a few more but these seem to be the main ones)

piston engines are not that different between American and import. Rotary engines are a lot different. Go to these following sites to see some of the available proformance parts.

www.mazdatrix.com
www.racingbeat.com
www.atkinsrotary.com
www.pineappleracing.com

If you have mechanical knowledge, then learning how a rotary works won't be hard. do a search on rotary engines at www.howstuffworks.com

Other than that, just look around here on the forum to get some ideas an info

Good luck and welcome the forum.

And don't foret these

1) RB exhaust.

2) Aftermarket carb, with upgraded fuel pump and regulator.

3) Whatever other stuff you feel like doing (electric fan, ignition, etc... none of them do very much)

If you want more n/a power after that, you need to port the motor.

I don't know much about turbo, nos, etc.

Nothing. Youre stuck where you are now, especially if you never search .

Anything to make the car flow better... a open exaughst will help... Spark plugs and wires wont do much on a stock engine... unless it needs em... there are some little things you can do to the niki carb... some of the other guys on here might know more detail about that... I dont know how far you want to go but a turbo 13b swap does WONDERS for the car... insted of a cold air intake you could do a ram air setup... I dont know how good you are with stuff like that but you could get a scoop off of jc whitney and make a custom cold air box... I have heard some real good things about custom turbo setups on the 12a's as well... the best of luck to you...

I think NOS makes kits that will bolt to Holley carbs (same company) which makes it VERY easy to install on an FB with a Holley carb. You just have to make sure you have enough fuel, but depending on the size of the shot, that shouldn't be too hard.

Just FYI here's a little tutorial on how rotaries work, so you can get a better idea of why free-breathing frees up so much HP

Blah. Mine only has 20-30 HP over stock, and not dyno tested.

There's a bunch of chaps on this forum with cars that'd run circles around mine.
