has anyone put there amps under compartments?need suggestions on subject.

did you cut a hole for ventelation?i'm thinking of doing so,so like that i could run a small fan for cooling. what do you guys think

i once had an amp underneath the bins, but it did get too hot too quick. then i custom mounted the amp and had the entire rear of the car custom, and used computer fans to cool the amp. i also got one of those digital thermometers with the inside outside switch. there's a wire to a sensor that i stuck on the amp, and had the display in the front console. it made it super easy to monitor the amps temp. and cheap to do too.

I've had amps under the seats (limited to 2" max) in the bins (ventilation is not an issue if you have good amps) and currently I have my big amp in a rack with a pexiglass cover. It pushes my 15" and never over heats.
My cardomain page has all the pics of where I've mounted the amps.

John has it correct, you get the right amps and the bin/heat issue will not be a problem.
I got oversized amps for what I need so they don't generate as much heat as a stressed out ones

I'm still looking for a place that wants to make a small batch of these. I don't have the space or equipment to make these, They will need a 2 pc mold and then joined together.

well if you do find a place to make those boxes,i'm in on one.Do you know if soloberics will fit on that box?
