Well time has come for another engine upgrade

Building a new engine for the SA. I bought a FD engine and porting it this weekend. It will replace the TII engine I am running right now. Took her for her last ride today.. Engine is coming out tommorow. Going to install the engine in my other RHD SA in a few months. I'm sellng my custom FD UIM set and my custom primary and secondary rails w/720/1600cc injectors. Pm me if interested. Look for some pics real soon.. Going for 500 + rwhp on the new engine.. Old engine pics below..

good to hear about that engine and power output expectations .. to be honest, I've never really liked what you have done to the exterior ... i think it looks too busy i guess the word is but each to his own

500 in an FB. Isn't that the equivalent to being shot out of a cannon?

All I know is the 6 point cage will be installed before open her up. the engine in it right now was @414 rwhp and it was scary wth no cage.. was going with a 3 rotor swap (Got one from JP) but wll sell it to someone rel soon. Just to much work involved..

Thumbs up

Steve,
Nice to hear about your upgrade but I feel that a 3-rotor would be nicer. Hope to see that baby runnnng in my next Vegas trip.

We got one in the works also; a 3-rotor bridgeported turbo in the RX-3SP. Rene is doing the install and tuning.

Is your current engine not ported?
Why not just get a bigger turbo and run more boost?

I just don't see why you are going for an FD engine. You are aware that they have different engine mounts from the T2 and the wiring is very different, especially between an 86-88 T2 and an FD?

It'd be easier to just build the T2 engine, and that's primarily because you already had one in there. The FD isn't that much more superior to the T2 motor once you start modding them, except for stronger housings.

Do you think i used the stock TII mounts? Look at the front cover on my engine... Also I'm running a haltech. The same sensors will be used. Nothing really changes.. Don't understand all this work you are talking about..Please explain..

Custom, no. Aftermarket, Yes. My other engine is a half-bridge, so it should flow quite well. The FD was only a street port.

Any chance you would part some of the stuff out? I could use the injectors (primary and secondary) and maybe the lower intake manifold.
