With your help I reconnected the oil metering line and I am now getting smoke when I start the car after it has sat for several days. I believe that is nothing to worry about provided that it clears right away, which it does. Correct?

 

Most rotaries have a little blue/black when they first start up. If its white then that's an indicator of possible coolant seal issue. From what it sounds like you are ok.

 

Yep, blue/black so I am going to call this good and move on o why it won't idle when you let off the gas. Going to start a new thread on that to keep the topics sepetate.
