weird switch
What is the atari-like switch right below the window switches on a 85 gsl do. I move it all around and it does nothing i can see. It says front rear left right

IIRC, it's for adjusting the stereo balance.

Our '83 GSL had the same thing.

Yeah, I'm guessing stereo balance. My '83 GSL didn't have it there, though, it had it in the old clock location in the center console. Maybe a mid-year change?

its called a joystick balance. its purpose is a seperate fader control for the speakers

It's junk, install new stereo, remove joystick, install coin holder or something else. It tends to get in my way some times, as small as it is.
