Question Weird sound from instrument cluster...

Hey guys

I was just driving the good old FB, and on my way back, I heard a weird sound for a second. Turned off the radio, it wasn't it. Popped the hood, it wasn't from the engine bay. The sound was coming specifically from the instrument cluster area. Rev buzzer still worked, nothing malfunctioning, but the weird sound was still there. Knowing how quirky rotaries can be, I made sure I got a video clip of it before I turned off the car - in case it disappeared - which it did lol (sound was gone when I started it up again).

In any case, take a look at this video I took. You can hear the weird noise the whole time, and it gets louder as I rev, and falls back down as the revs fall.

Thanks

Same thing happened to me like 3 days ago, but didnt go with the rebs. There was a plug that attached seperatly to the gauge cluster and that was it. I looked it up and it has something to do with the oscilolator/ oil level sensor. I check the oil 800 times, and it was full, so I figured something stupid went wrong.

Did your car beep when the headlights were on but the key was out or the oil or coolant lights came on?

If so, does it still do it?

Problems with that beeper can be associated with the oscillator... It's located in front of the stock battery location, behind the headlight. It appears to be a relay, but is usually labeled "Oscillator".

I'll check if the car beeps when the headlights are on but key is out. Hopefully, I won't find out if it beeps when oil/coolant is low

With the car running, just pop the wire off the coolant low sensor in the top of the middle of the radiator.

I turned off the ignition. Key still in the ignition, the "key still in ignition' buzzer sounds. Leave lights on, buzzer sounds. The buzzers are working fine. That weird noise is gone.
