Hey guys whats the best float setting on a 48DCO? Every how to set a float schematics I have found says 8.5 and 15mm but it shows a brass float. I have the plastic one on mine.

The plastic floats call for a 12.5 mm at the tip(end) of the float. The brass and plastic floats are different as far as level. I just spent 2 hours looking and found some good writeups and info at REDLINE, they are a weber outlet.
I have that same carb also and also found where they aren't very streetable carbs, more performance orientated like the ida or idf. The older 45s seem to be the best for stockport.

This is from Redlines website.
Float Settings
Early Style brass float 8 to 8.5mm (at radius)
Late style plastic float 12.5 to 13mm at extreme tip of float
All settings are gasket to float
