Weber?

I was considering in getting a Weber 48ida for my 12a(82 gs) wondering all I need. I know nothing about carburetors and some guy suggested I get one.

Can the down draft just go on stock manifold?
I'm lost.

But now you're found. And you should stick with your factory carb.
That said, you'll need money. And an intake manifold. And some time and money to tune the weber for your engine.

I agree that you should stick with the factory carb. The Nikki was designed to work with the rotary's unique intake needs and getting the webber to work well, (meaning no flooding, stumbles or flat spots) will take a lot of learning, work and probably several hundred dollars in jets and other tuning parts.

If its additional power your looking for there are mods that can be done to your nikki to accomplish that, but first you should look at other things, primarily, the exhausts before you fiddle with the carb.
