Thumbs up Way to much steering play!

My father owns a 85 rx7, so after all those years of driving it keeps on getting worse, its atleast over like 2-3 inches of play before the wheels turn! Can some on post a pic or somthing like that on how to fix this! Thanks!

OK, now that the fun is over, welcome to the forum.

If you have an alignment shop that does free testing and diagnosis, take it there and let them tell you what parts need replaced. This will usually start with the idler arm, tie rods, (4), and ball joints, (2). Once those are all in spec and there is still some play, then the steering sector needs adjustment. Good time to check for play in the wheel bearings too.

If you want to poke around the engine bay, the idler arm is mounted on the passenger side frame rail and is often the first steering component to fail.
