water pump replacement.

i see water leaking out form under the water pump it looks like, i guess it needs a new seal, thanks Dan

From the flange at the block or is it seeping past the shaft, you have to look carfull.

When you have the water pump off, I would reccomend that you replace BOTH gaskets. When you take the pump off the housing, theres one gasket there, but by doing that you also loosen the nuts that hold the water pump housing to the engine block, theres a second gasket there. Use some Hylomar on the gaskets, and you wont have any more problems .

I use High Temp (red) RTV on all my flanges. To each his own, hylomar works great too.

make sure the weep hole (hole under the pulley on the water pump ) isnt leaking. If it is the weep hole its time to buy a new water pump.
