Water methanol injection install w/ pics

I'm almost done with my set up, so why not post about the water methanol install
I did. It's the stage 1 Cooling mist wm injection kit. I didn't want the boost switch, and relay exposed in the engine bay, and I want to keep the wiring to the interior to a minimum so I took a door lock control box from an Integra and gutted the insides so I can use the box. Inside I installed the boost switch, relay, and added a water pressure gauge, along with an led light. Next to it is my homemade clog detector that works just like their expensive ones. On the plumbing side, I used some John Guest fittings and tee's that I had laying around. One of the tee's furnishes w/m to the pressure gauge, and the other to the clog detector. I also installed a shut off. The check valve runs along the sides with the tees.

The pump I was going to route to the back of the RX-7, but lazyness owns me and I decided to mount it infront of the radiator along with the filter. I think It will keep my w/m cool there, well hidden, and it was very easy to mount. Plus I'd hate to have a leak inside my car.

The water tank i'm still working on, it's from an Integra also. It's bigger than what comes with the kit and has a long neck. It will mount hidden and all that will be sticking out is the neck for me to fill it up.

All I need to do is finish the tank, wire it up, run a couple of wires inside the RX-7 and it should be good to go. One thing I forgot to get is a low water float to install on the tank and then run a light to the inside. It's only like $20. Well worth it I think and I could hook it up to turn off my pump so I don't burn it by running it dry incase I ever run out.

First time I've ever seen a sidedraft on a supercharger and I've gotta say, that setup is pure lust for me

Amazing engine bay, great work.

Looking good. I have always wondered why camden owners have not done this. It is a great addition to ensure proper cooling.

I have read countless thread on WM and it is highly advise that the pump not be set in the engine bay. I think that this is primarily because of the engine bay heat and exposure to outside elements. I am pretty sure that heat will not be an issue since your are out in the front of the radiator. But what is the car being used for? What size injectors are you going to be using?

I purchased the cooling mist 2 stage kit. I have heard nothing but positive about their product.

I have been told the reason for not mounting the fuel pump in the engine bay is because the fuel pump pumps the fuel, and doesn't pull it through the fuel lines. Therefore this decreases the life of the fuel pump.

Awesome project, amazing engine bay!

Sonic Rat is a hater because he's built like 10 supercharged Rx-7's. Acording to him the only way is with a whipple.

I personally think sonicrat is more of an ******* than a hater because he hijacks every s/c thread with **** and sells turbo kits himself. So to sonicrat from me to you...fuckyou *******, wish I could meet you in person! And Kim, sorry about the language on your positive thread, best of results to ya! Can't wait to hear about the meth impact.
