washer sprayer wiring ( + or - both work)

sorry if its been covered but i been searchin an failin
Has anyone wired up a new switch for the washer sprayers, and if so what is the deal with the two wires. from what i can tell it doesnt matter which lead i hook up to positive or negative, both ways sprays. am i missing something here? theres a blue wire an a blue wire with yellow stripe. can anyone tell me which is properly positive

Blue goes from washer motor to 15 amp fuse in the fuse block to switched 12V. Blue/yellow wire goes from washer motor to switch. Stock switch connects blue yellow wire to ground when on. A replacement switch would need one terminal connected to ground and the other to the blue/yellow wire coming from the motor.
