Well I would have posted this the other night... but as of Wed I got my 85 rex! It has no engine, or tranny, or cat... but everthing else is there. Including a 2nd gen oil cooler

Of couse yesterday morning I got my wisdom teeth pulled and I'm feeling great on vikiden, applesause and pudding. So I can't really start pulling it apart... and I'm still finishing up my work bench so when thats done it's gonna be mad striping on the rex!

You can see the the damage on the passenger side rear fender but I'm gonna do a wide body kit so I fig it will fix that up nicely

Well it's time for some more gauze and vikiden...



P.S. somthing I noticed... my old 84 had the sun roof that had the twist *** to raise and lower it and then you could detach it w/ latches... but this one (I know it's not the original moon roof) does not have the spot for the twist ****.... where they diff from the GS GSL and GSL-SE?

 

i have a friend that has an 84 gsl-se, and it has the same sunroof mechanism that my 80 had. the twist ***. as far as i know, 80 through 85 all had that. it was just us poor 79 folk that have the older style
