vin# on engine?
is the vin # on the engine.Someone told me there 12a motor in a 84gsl was original.I want to make sure the vin on the engine match the vin on the car.Can i find this?and where?

Nope, they never stamped the vin on the engines. There may be a # but it's not a vin.

There is a few hints if an enigne is the Original. Take some pics of the engine bay and tell how many miles the car has.
