Very Quick Radiator Questions....

Hey guys,

To make a long story short my trusty old radiator has a hole in it. I've located two good replacements and have a couple of quick questions before I buy one. My car was originally a 1985 GS 12A with the overdrive automatic. I have since converted it to a 5 spd. I have one of the tall radiators and I zip tied a ford taurus fan on it. I would like to stick with this same tall radiator just to keep things simple. I have two choices, one of the radiators is out of an 85 GS manual. The other is out of an 84 GSL-SE.

1) Are ALL of the factory 84-85 radiators the taller kind? For both 12A and 13B cars?

2) Is there any difference between the 12A and 13B rads? I'm wanting to put the 84 SE 13B radiator into my 85 GS with a 12 manual if possible, because I can get the 84 13B rad cheaper than the one out of the 85.

Thanks in advance guys.
Jamie

1-yes
2- AFAIK they are the same.

You have a rad local to you? I got a used one if you need it (tall style) but shipping would probably be too $ to make it worthwhile.
