Do you mean Toyo Kogyo Co., Ltd. had nothing to do with it? Not true either. In fact Mazda (North America), Inc. was selling them, through dealers.
Well I'm not going to keep repeating myself. If I see proof then I will gladly eat my words.

I stand behind my statement. If they where sold through the dealer it is because it was modified through the dealer. Mazda had nothing to do with it.

Do you really think Mazda would authorize another company to modify the structure of it's car? This would be a huge saftey liability.

I have heard a lot of talk but seen no proof.

thanks carl, I tried to mention what braces I knew of that were from mazda that were used in some of the kits I knew of. there where some conversions done here in fl by the company that did the 930 kit for our rx7s, anyone have info on those? someone must have the info on the rx7 club car the ultma. there was a lot of info out on that car. and I know all the bracing was shown in diagrams as well as photos on and off of the car in a couple of rotary rocket mags from the old club. as for you guys from can I said "please excuse me" maybe the sales people up there used scam tactics. I dont know? you tell me. all 4 people that I have talked with regarding dealer installed options wether it be convertable, targra, wheels, dash panel, rear seats ect ect. that have shared the opion that if it came from the dealer it was factory have been from canada. no Generalizations there. may be there is someone in the US or another country but I have had no contact with them. like I said excuse me. no offense. Bass, Keaponlaffen, Pedestrian X you guys must have some info stored some place regarding some convert sold or done there. may be mantis has something. I understand some where made in europe, maybe revhed or someone has something. anybody down under?

what about a cobra style roll bar, and have it set up to help brace the car. This seams like the easiest, and lightest, best perfoming setup.

Install a rear seat, have the cage attach at the spring pearch in the back, come around the rear seat, and brace in the middle, the roll bar, and some well setup front braces/.

if you want to do just a two seater, set it up cobra style with one loop, than would be cool.
