Kit?

Mazdatrix sells it "by the foot" in each size and colour. You don't buy it as a kit.

I'd actually like to know the same darn thing. I know that in Rx7Carl and Pratch's tutorial they use 5/32" tube for alot of it, but what the hell that is in mm I don't know (and to think, I usually use only metric for everythign because I'm Canadian!)

5/32 in metric is 3.9mm. Just incase anyone was wondering.

So I'm guessing you'd use the 3.5mm then?

But then again, the hose I got yesterday is 3/16 and it fits relatively well... wouldn't 3.5mm be a little small? Or is it just me?

And another good question is: if you're not doing the ratsnest removal tutorial, how much of the stuff do you need? And what size are the other hoses?

Lol...

But if I wanted the "ricer blue" style hoses, the local shop couldn't help me.

Actually, the only place I could find the stuff, only had fuel/emissions hose, and while it works for most of the push-on parts, there are a few that have guards/rings around them that prevent hoses of diameters that large from fitting..

D'you suppose that the 3.5 stuff from Mazdatrix would stretch to fit? It should, shouldn't it? But still the question remains, how much?

If you are taking out the nest and only using the hose on metal nipples. then i dont see why it would cause a problem. but if you are keeping any of the plastic pieces, you could break something trying to make it fit.

You guys should check out

http://www.hosetechniques.com/

I don't have personal expericence with them, but I know other people on this forum have mentioned them before. They don't have a kit for the FB, but they do have ones for FCs and FDs as well as universal kits. I too am thinking of getting some silicon hose for my GSL-SE.

well, i have done the rats nest removal mess and only needed about 3ft of 5/32 hosing and 1ft of 7/32. so i just went ahead and picked them up at the local NAPA. cost less than $2.00. i've replaced all of them and it helped out my vaccum leak tremendously. i still have a bit of an idle problem but i may know the answer to that one still. for those that still have the rats mess; most of that is 5/32 too. i would say get atleast 6ft if your doing rats nest and carb.

My buddy got a kit from them for his Miata. I put it one late one rainy night. They sent us more than enough, and the stuff is a nice quality. I would buy from them for my own car .

PS - Dont mind the rusty looking junk all over the radiator and the hoses, its some weird **** that got spilled on the car, and its not actually rust.
