Yikes, this hood project was a pain in the ass. Not looking forward to fitting the bodykit, the side skirts in particular.

Paint turned out OK. Rattle canning a space that big is tricky to get even, but its OK. It will eventually be professionally repainted, but so far, so good

I like it!
Good job bro.

Wow that is incredible work. Any details on the process? Is that border around a styling item or is it adding some rigidity?

82streetracer 05-04-15 02:19 PM

Its a combination of rigidity, looks and airflow. I think with all the fiberglass and foam and whatnot, its actually stiffer than stock. Its some simple oak door trim that is fiber-glassed into place.

that looks great!!!

Very nice. Is that hood steel or fiberglass?

82streetracer 05-04-15 06:05 PM

It is a modified factory steel hood.

Pretty sweet, no denying that! I'm going to hopefully build something similar when I get the chance. Later this summer is seeming like a definite possibility since I'll be doing all sorts of body work.

i like it a lot.

Nice setup you got there! I'd like to do a vmount, but don't want to cut the stock hood lol. Thought of adding some small efans specifically for the intercooler. I'll most likely just stay front mount.
