using antenna w/ aftermarket radio

How do I do this? I have everything else wired up and it's working great, but the antenna is reverse polarity or something and only works when I ground the wire. The wire for antenna coming from the headunit won't operate it. I was told I need something called and inducter or inducer?

yeah. my stereo came with one, and it's required to get newer equipment to work with the old antenna.

however, since my antenna was dead, I installed the newer radio shack model and used the onboard relay. either way, you'll need one ; )

you can get them anywhere that sells electronic components (Like radio shack), and they're pretty cheap.

you need a standard 50 cent 5 point bosche/potter brumfield etc relay. available at your local car stereo shop, youll probally get raped for no more than 5 bucks for one, even tho they cost them less than 50 cents but anyways

the ant system is negative trigger

the way you wire it is

85 to the power ant wire on your radio
86 and 87 to ground
30 to the cars power ant wire

bingo you just converted a positive trigger to a negative one
