Upper (Trailing) spark plugs aren't sparking

Both upper spark plugs on both rotors are wet when pulled. Both Bottom plugs are dry.

Plugs and wires are pretty new.. less than 8,000 miles on them. If I disconnect the trailing wire from the coil, the coil sparks like crazy.

Bad distributor?

Pull a trailing plug and lay it on the fender, crank it and see if it sparks.

If the coil is zappin, then it knows when to fire, ie dizzy is still good.

Trailings work part time on the 79s. If plugs get too fouled or wet, the spark follows the foul/wet and doesn't jump the gap. Path of least resistance thing. Clean/dry the plugs.
