Update on someone please help me

YES!!! i got it . Well i know whats draining my batt. the guy that i bought the car off of has connected the alternator right to the ignition coil so its drianing it constently. he disconnected the "check valve" or "relay valve" or regulator. Im not to sure what one it is because in the book it says that its the regulator, but then they dont look the same. why would someone do that.. and can u tell me how to rectify this.

Thanks!!!
