update on my car

Hi over the summber I have got a welder and I have been fixing my car. I have fixed the holes where the wheel wells are. On both sides I need to fix a hole in the front still. So now all I need to do is fix the right fender and fix the left door. I got a wing for my car. And vary soon sometime this week I am going to pick up some rims for my car. I will get some pics of the parts I have fixed. Oh ya I need to dye my int black. And paint my dash black or dye I cant remember. It is not runing because I need a new battry cabel. Well thanks for reading.

ps: I will take some pics later.

Decent results for a pretty cheap welder. I need to still save up and get a good mig/tig gas welder at some point...

Pick up a cheap grinder, like a dewalt, smooth down the welds and then put some POR-15 over it all so it dosnt rust out again(well at least from the inside).

So far good job man

It is a mig welder. We will grind down the welds. My dad got some stuff that you put on the metel and the rust and it eats the rust. Then all you do it wash it off with water. We have 2 grinders now we got the other one at canadiantire for 39 dollors and it comes with 30 grinding disks.

Go to a local parts store and bring a rim with you, and the original lug. They sell thin wall lugs that may work.

Well i'll be the first to say that wing does nothing for me... lol.

But on a different note what gauge of metal did you use for your wheel well rust repair and how long would you say it took to do both sides? I'm going to have to do a similar repair on my car at some point.

Well I like the wing and got it cheap!!!

I dont remember how long it took me to do the wheel wells because my dad helped me and we could only do like 3 hours a day befor my dad had to leave for work. I think it took 12 hours but on monday I will take more pics of what I have done on it becasue it is the long weekend so I will have more time to work on it. There was a rust hole ontop of the door that is now fixed. But like I said I will get some pics monday.
