Update: FB 2 FD (hood vents)
Update: FB 2 FD (hood vents)
sup guys, just updating again. this time im working on my hood. im going to somewhat replicate the FEED hood. not exactly but close enough. here is a preview of it: its not done. i had barely made the cut out. enjoy.

i finished the hood vents. i made it so it doesnt exactly copy the FEED hood, but close enough to say "it looks like the FEED hood". and i wanted something subtle yet functional, so i made smaller ventsi could have made it exactly like the actual FEED hood but i like to protect myself from copyright infringements.

this might be too much to ask but could you put all the pics you've taken so far of this car up? it's frikkin awesome and original and I'm a lazy bum to search for all the threads.
I am really interested in how that thing is going to look when you finally get color on it. The car is really going to be an original............that's for sure. Keep up the good work, and keep those pics coming!
That project is amazing! Always wondered what FD body lines would look like with the FB top. Lookin forward to end results...and new updates.
Yes, the CYM is a GREAT Color! Looks great in the Kansas sun, the CYM FB is my new car!

Aerodynamic Effect ??????
I feel qualified to offer a possible aerodynamic effect of those hood vents, not because I am an aeronautical engineer (which I am), but because I put a hood vent in my 84 and found the following effect: On a hot day, the heat from the engine compartment went right back into the plenum and into the car.
I ended up blocking off the vent so the heat would exit under the car. My vent exit was right in front of the plenum inlet (cowl panel), so the effect was possibly worse than you will see. I also have a V8, so there may be more engine heat to deal with. I had to install a bulge in my hood to clear the air cleaner, and wanted it to be as inconspicuous as possible, so I used a piece from a 280Z hood. Just thought I would let you know in case you might see the same effect.
