Under the hood of my turbo FB

I've been noticing a lot of new faces here so it's a opportunity for some new feedback. What do you guys think?

Mike- hmm... no don't think so..... oh WAIT a damn minute! How did that get in there!

capri- 2.5" mandrel bent from the turbo to the IC and 3" from the IC to the intake. I bought some "U" bends and cut/welded them to fit. It's a TD07. Last year I had boost creep to almost 17psi but hopefully this year I'll have that issue taken care of with my new wastegate placement on the turbine housing itself.

Yep, looks as badass as it did last time you posted pics of it!!

I'm curious on how that wastegate setup will work. RICE and all the others said it would work well, so I guess its good.

My turbo SA is soon going to the paintshop, after that all the fun starts (mounting the 13BT and some more custom work).

Regards,
Frode

dude, setzep, you SERIOUSLY need to get rid of the little hose that goes to the windshield sprayer nozles. that is REALLY detracting from the engine bay.

but in all seriousness, thats looking great man!! you're all done now, right?

I cant see what your talking about, but that one hose to the radiator overflow is an eye killing distractor. Everything all nice and shiny new, but that.

Just joking nice looking engine bay..

I don't like the look of that setup. A twin carb arrangement is much nicer. How about we switch motors and I save you the agony of driving around your ugly turbo setup

Seriously, do you have a write-up on some of the specifics -- i.e. engine managment, ignition, engine short block, etc. It would be nice to read some detail on what you've put together.

Also, how does it run?

Looks like you ghetto rigged a turbo???

That's one of the cleanest set ups I've seen. You and Directfreak should race.

luiml73- Looking at AJC-13B and Hitmans car is what got me out in the garage every day. That was some real motivation hearing and seeing how bad *** Steves car was performing.
It looks like you're going ot have a bad *** car when your done from what your sig shows/tells.
Nope, haven't hit a dyno and don't know if I will. I've done all my tuning on the road with my LM-1 and when it spins the tires in 3rd I know I have more than enough power

frode- I just wanted to get a recent pic of it up. I've been posting bit's and pieces but here is the whole thing
I can't wait to see how the WG on the turbine housing works also! I got tabs for it yesterday and monday it will get insurance put back on it, I'll post if it works or not.
Sounds like you have a nice little project going also with that turbo SA. Too much fun.

RotaryRyan- Thanks, your limo FB ain't bad either

ioTus- haha, I was using the washer last year but then I decided to put a wategate in it's place I'll have to get rid of that hose for ya.
It's never 100% done... Next is making a air duct to the oil cooler.

frode- damnit... I'll go take care of it after I reply to this thread!

seanrot- yeah... that's a eye sore also. Maybe I should fork over the buck for a new one.
thanks

elwood- I think I'm going to have to decline your offer for a trade. I kinda like my haltech and 4 injectors
I don't have a formal write up of the car but here the answers to your questions. Haltech E6K, FC coils, bone stock 13B-RE.
It runs great but as always there is always room for improvement. Right off idle it has a slight hesitation but it runs like a raped ape every where else.

Rx7Carl- Bah, you got a pretty bad *** car yourself.

DanH- What do you want to see?

Bern- Your car is bad *** there is no way around it. That silver paint is awsome and the wheels match it perfectly.
My name is Cam but thanks anyways.

web777- thanks, I would race him but he lives 2000miles away and his engine is all apart right now

Beatiful engine bay Cam. Wish I didn't have emissions laws--oh well.

And yea, I'd like to hear/see more details when you get around to it.

Is that a Cosmo engine or from a FD?

Keep up the good work.

Scott

Cam!! I know that... sorry about the Mike deal! I was distracted by the clean set up!

Hey.. how about a reunion of all these clean turbo FBs @ SevenStock-7 this year!

Back to work on my 7... the new dif is calling! Also trying to get a little more BLING-BLING this year!

red blast- thanks

Rex4Life- yeah, you're kind of stuck with emission laws working against you and all I really like the freedom I have without those.
Maybe some day I'll put together a website like directfreak did.
It's a Cosmo engine, if you have them side by side the intake is what makes them look different.

Bern- haha, no problem. It does look a lot like Mike-P-28's.
I'd need to make sure my car was reliable enough first before I took it on a long distance journey like that. It would be fun having our own row of turbo FB's though
What kind of diff are you putting in??

Stepdaddy- It's a touch under 10k from what all my receipts tell me.
Thanks for that last complement but it sounds like I never want to meet you

DAM!

That is one nice job! How about some side pics of the motor? What did you use for an intercooler and do you have a pic of where the intercooler piping enters the front section of the car? Nice Job, can't wait to see the outside of the car to. Paint looks great.

OK twist my arm, here are a few more

First is my oil and intercooler. As you can see I still have to make an air duct to and from the oil cooler to make sure no hot air will see the IC.
