Ugly exterior trim
I know some guys like the plastic trim on the sides of the car... and I know some guys hate it. Personally, I haven't decided yet, being that I haven't seen any before/after pictures.
I took a side shot of my fb and I'm gonna go at it with photoshop, removing the trim, but thats just for a general idea of how it'll look. Does anyone have before/after shots? And does the trim come off the fenders too?

not my car, but there is one with the trim off...I prefer to have mine on, simply because it'd be a pain to get all that crap off.

The pictures are no longer available on the April post (https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...&threadid=68937).
The trim will come off (it's held on with superduper double-stick tape), but you'll probably ruin it in the process of getting it off (like crack & stretch, won't go back on) and if you're not careful you could ruin your paint job getting the residue off the car -or- you mite even pull chunks of paint off the car in the process of trying to get the trim off. x2 Also, if your paint job is faded/oxidized at all, you're still gonna have stripes down the side of your car where the paint has been protected from the elements
Personally, I like the trim. If yours is getting a little faded, try some black shoe polish (paste) on it. Works wonders and lasts 2 or 3 months before you have to do it again. I rub the shoe polish into mine, let it dry, buff it with a rag, then put some Armor All over it. Looks like new.
Those Graphite painted wheels are sharp and here's some in Satin Black that I did... https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=134679

I think I might alter the color of my rims too, like that one guy did with the graphite colored paint...
Fun with photoshop ; )

My 85 doesn't look the same as some of yours, being that it has the little 'indentations' above the trim. Some of the cars are smooth all the way down.
After hearing the bit about my paint job... I've decided that I'll keep my spiffy plastic trim. It doesnt look too bad anyways...
